克雷 沃克尔69年生于德州，五个孩纸排行老大，九岁的时候他爹给了他一把吉他，15岁时就开始参加才艺比赛。有一次在速8汽车旅馆下了夜班去本地的电台给人家送他录的歌，值班主播说电台有规定不播私人送来的碟子，，，结果还是播了，说是不容错过。克雷高中毕业后在个固得益轮胎厂上班。19岁开始在本地酒吧餐厅献艺。三年后被华纳旗下的一个制作人发现签约。他共有30首歌上了乡村歌榜，其中六首摘冠。都是不简单的人啊！
