英译：沁园春 雪 （毛泽东）

Snow

The wide range of northland scenery,
stretching a thousand miles, is snowy and icy.   
Snow in the sky flies ten thousand miles,
and on the Great Wall's inside and outside，
nothing can be seen but endless white;
Here and there of the Mighty River,
as if suddenly has lost all the water.
Like silver snakes dancing are mountains,  
Hills on grasslands  like running white elephants.
They all wish to compete with the sky,
wanting to see who is low and who is high.
When a clear day arrives, the bright sunshine
reflects on the snowy scene, looking so fine.
Rivers and mountains are so charming,
Numberless heroes are attracted and admiring.
Qin Shi Huang and Emperor Wu, what a pity,
they  had no much talent in literacy.
The Emperor Taizong of Tang and Taizu of Song
only knew a little about Lisao and Guofeng.
Genghis Khan, who founded the Empire of Mongol
just knew how to draw the bow and shoot eagles.

 Alas! All of these characters  have long gone away,
Now who are the real heroes? Look at us today!
